C. Millet, "Antibes"
summer view along the sunny waterfront in the old town of Antibes on the Côte d'Azur of the French Riviera in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the tower of the "Château Grimaldi" rises to the left of centre, which was used as a studio by Pablo Picasso in 1946 and today houses the Musée Picasso Antibes, impasto, impressionistic veduta painting with broad brushstrokes in finely tuned pastel colours, oil on plywood, c. 1950, indistinctly signed "C. Millet", place-name "Antibes" on the reverse, somewhat in need of cleaning, originally framed, folding dimensions approx. 22 x 27 cm.
