Cariot. 1944", inscribed on the reverse "0,41 x 0,27 - Auxy - Cour commune Eté", partially shrinkage cracked, framed, folding dimensions approx. 27 x 41 cm. Artist info: French landscape painter of Post-Impressionism (1872 Périgny-sur-Yerres to 1950 Paris), self-taught, since 1905 exhibitions in the Paris salons of the Société nationale des beaux-arts, the Société des Artistes Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon d'hiver, 1909 exhibition together with the group La Société Moderne, after World War I temporary stay in Germany, source: Thieme-Becker, Wikipedia.
