Deeply snow-covered street lined with houses and estate, probably in Beutnitz, Thuringia, with walkers and skaters on a frozen stream, detailed genre scene, oil on canvas and stretcher frame, monogrammed "H" at lower right, inscribed and dated on the reverse "C. B. Beudnitz Stammgut 1896", partial loss of painting layer, paint shrinkage cracked, somewhat in need of cleaning and restoration, unframed, dimensions approx. 29.5 x 34 cm.
