Willy Seybold, Still Life with Apples
Dish with yellow-green apples on a blue cloth in front of a dark background, impasto still life painting with moving brushwork, partially spatulaed, oil on hardboard, 2nd half 20th century, signed lower right "Seybold", inscribed on the reverse "Äpfel um 1970", minimal need of cleaning, framed, folding dimensions approx. 44 x 54.5 cm. Artist's info: eigtl. Wilhelm Seybold, German painter (1909 Rötha to 1992 Leipzig), apprenticeship as decorative painter, member of the BKA Leipzig, numerous participations in exhibitions, source: Bildatlas "Kunst in der DDR".
