Naked couple embracing each other tenderly, high-contrast woodcut, signed and dated in lead below the image on the right "Josef Richter 1968" and titled on the left "Liebende stehend" and number "II", notation on the reverse, unframed, image dimensions approx. 47 x 31.5 cm, sheet dimensions approx. 57.5 x 41 cm. Artist's info: Germ. Painter and graphic artist (born 1936 in Lobendau), 1950-52 apprenticeship as a machine fitter, 1962-63 pupil of the painting and drawing school of Carl Michel in Zwickau, from 1963 promoted by Edgar Klier, Klaus Matthäi and Lothar Breetzke, largely self-taught, from 1967 member of the VBK of the GDR, member of the Kunstverein Zwickau and the Sächsischer Künstlerbund, active in Zwickau, participation in numerous exhibitions, source: Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" and Internet.
