View over meadows and fields to the Kuhberg near Netzschkau under an almost cloudless sky, watercolour, c. 1980-90, signed lower right "S. Hauffe", minimally browned, framed under mount and behind glass, mount cut-out c. 29 x 39.5 cm. Artist info: German animal, hunting and landscape painter as well as illustrator (1923 Plauen to 1997 Plauen), studied 1937-41 at the Plauen art school with Walther Löbering and Kurt Geipel, from 1945 freelance, member of the Verband Bildender Künstler (VBK) of the GDR, active in Plauen-Kauschwitz, Source: Vollmer, Eisold " Künstler in der DDR", Frank Weiß "Malerei im Vogtland" and Wikipedia.
