Pan with top hat, two women sitting opposite each other and whimsical scenes on the reverse, ink pen, partly watercolour, c. 1910, once signed and dedicated "Kley für M. Koch", browned, wavy and waterstained, mounted between two panes of glass, dimensions c. 31 x 23,5 cm. Artist info: Germ. Painter, draughtsman, etcher and illustrator (1863 Karlsruhe to 1945 Munich), 1880-85 studied at the Karlsruhe Art School, from 1901 he supplied templates for postcards for the Krupp cast steel factory in Essen, in the following years also worked as an industrial painter for various companies such as Voith, Grün & Bilfinger and MAN, contributor to Simplicissimus and Jugend, ended cooperation with all publishers when Hitler seized power, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer and Wikipedia.
