Heinrich Kley, Festive procession
moving naked women enjoying life and making music, looked at distraughtly by two ladies and on the reverse a woman playing an accordion, sitting on a meadow, probably illustration drawings, ink pen, c. 1910, each page signed "Kley für M. Koch", furthermore various indications in lead, yellowed and waterstained, mounted between two panes of glass, dimensions c. 30 x 26.5 cm. Artist's info: German painter, draughtsman, etcher and illustrator (1863 Karlsruhe to 1945 Munich), 1880-85 studied at the Karlsruhe Art School, from 1901 he supplied templates for postcards for the Krupp cast steel factory in Essen, in the following years also worked as an industrial painter for various companies such as Voith, Grün & Bilfinger and MAN, contributor to Simplicissimus and Jugend, ended his collaboration with all publishers when Hitler seized power, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer and Wikipedia.
