Abstract figure in front of a yellowish background, typical for the artist, inscribed in the image "Dubuffet Grafik Silkeborg Kunstmuseum Danmark Aaben 10-12 14,30-16,30", colour lithograph, 1961, richly coloured print, catalogue raisonné Webel 773, printed by Jacomet, edition of 500 copies, the motif was also used as a mural on a house façade in Silkeborg, stained in the lower area, image dimensions approx. 74 x 52 cm, sheet dimensions ca. 75,5 x 53,5 cm. Artist's info: actually Jean Philippe Arthur Dubuffet, french sculptor, painter and action artist. Sculptor, painter and action artist, important representative of Art brut (1901 Le Havre to 1985 Paris), 1916 attended evening classes at the École des Beaux-Arts in Le Havre, went to Paris in 1918 to study music, language and literature at the Académie Julian, 1919 acquaintance with Max Jacob, Contact with the Parisian Surrealists, 1944 solo exhibition at the Galerie René Drouin in Paris, achieved international fame with his material paintings, 1947 exhibition at the Galerie Pierre Matisse in New York, coined the term Art brut, participated in documenten 2, 3 and 4 , source: Wikipedia, among others.
