published on the occasion of the II International Drawings 1967 in Darmstadt/Mathildenhöhe, poster design Salvador Dali, colour lithograph, printed by Mourlot in Paris, bottom right signature in lead "Dali", rolled, otherwise very well preserved, dimensions approx. 104 x 74 cm, enclosed poster, designed by Horst Janssen, from 1970, bottom right signature in lead "Janssen", dimensions approx. 82 x 29 cm. Artist info: actually Salvador Dali y Domenech, important Spanish painter, graphic artist and illustrator (1904 Figueras to 1989 Figueras), from 1916 lessons at the Marist College, from 1922 studies at the Academia San Fernando in Madrid and at the Escuela Catalana in Barcelona, 1928 trip to Paris to see Pablo Picasso, In 1929 he joined the Surrealist group around Breton, whose most important representative he was to become; in 1934 he married Gala and travelled to the USA, worked in Portlligat near Cadaqués; after the outbreak of the civil war in Spain he travelled to London and Italy; in 1940-48 he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and returned to Figueras and Púbol.
