Powerful depiction of a construction site in front of a building, colour etching with beautiful even plate tone, signed and dated in pencil below the depiction on the right "Andreas Zahlaus (19)89" and titled and numbered on the left "Bauplatz II, Berlin-Alt Buch 4/18", slightly wavy in the margins with minimal crease marks in the margins, dimensions of depiction approx. 30 x 42 cm, sheet dimensions approx. 50 x 64 cm. Artist info: German painter and graphic artist (born 1950 in Zwickau), 1974-79 studied at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, 1979-81 studied at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, 1981 de-registration, 1984 admission to the VBK of the GDR, 1993 diploma for painting at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, since 1999 lecturer at the Volkshochschule Berlin/Prenzlauer Berg, source: Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" and internet.
