Pack of 12 of 25 lithographs and three sheets of text in English and Hebrew, eleven lithographs signed in the image, as the works were originally bound in the enclosed cloth-covered portfolio, traces of mounting at the left edge of the sheet, slight signs of age, sheet dimensions approx. 43 x 31 cm. Artist's info: eigentl. Abba Pfefferman, Jewish artist (1883 Kreslawka/Russia, today Belarus until 1963 Jerusalem/Israel), worked as a sign painter in Poland and Russia, studied at the academy of arts in Odessa, from 1903 resident in Paris and studied at the Académie Julian under William Adolphe Bouguereau, 1912 met the founder and director of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, who invited him to Jerusalem to work there, 1913 moved to Palestine, here head of the painting department at the Bezalel Academy. When World War I broke out, the artist was in France and could not travel back to Palestine, 1920 return to Palestine, again brief return to Europe (Vienna) to buy a printing press, source: Wikipedia.
