Gustav Hetzer, sheet III from "Zirkus-Zyklus"
a young woman in a tutu sitting behind the circus ring and looking at the viewer, around 1930, inscribed in lead under the picture "Monotypie aus dem Zirkus-Zyklus v. Günter Hetzer" and number "III", paper slightly faded and with traces of dirt, dimensions of the picture approx. 27 x 25 cm, dimensions of the sheet approx. 50 x 37.5 cm. Artist's info: German painter and graphic artist (1907 Sonneberg to 1947 Sonneberg), 1926-30 master student of Julius Hess at the Academy of Arts in Munich, 1931-34 stays in Italy, also worked as illustrator and photographer for the Sonneberger Zeitung, after the war co-founder of the group Bildende Kunst im Kulturbund, shot by a Russian officer in 1947, Source: Matrikeln der Akademie der Künste in München, Internet.
