Elias Baeck, series of prints Il Callotto resuscitato
Series of 50 copper engravings depicting dwarfs caricaturing various human vices and weaknesses, inscribed on title page "Il Callotto resuscitato oder Neu eingerichtetes Zwerchen Cabinet", each with text below the depiction, bordered with gnomes, Augsburg circa 1715, two sheets stained, otherwise slight signs of age, sheet dimensions approx. 32,5 x 19,5 cm, artist info: also Elias Beck, alias Heldenmuth, German engraver and painter (1679 to 1747 Augsburg), studied in Rome, worked in Venice and Ljubljana and settled in Augsburg, source: Thieme-Becker, Nagler and Wikipedia.
