Mpambukidi Nlunfidi, modern bronze figure
modern, signed on the side "MPAMBUKIDI", bronze lightly patinated, highly stylised sculpture, somewhat reminiscent of an angel, with angled arms brought together in the middle of the body, surface partially decorated with movement, on ebonised wooden base, this with tiny imperfections, otherwise in good condition, h bronze approx. 41.5 cm, h overall approx. 50.3 cm. Artist's info: African sculptor from Angola (1957) Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa/Congo under the masters Makala, Mokengo and Professor Kitenda Kia Basala, member of the National Union of Plastic Artists, President of Oficina Mpambukidi e Galeria e Arte, an art space dedicated to the discovery of new talent, won several awards, exhibited at several exhibitions in Africa, the USA and France, his works adorn important sites such as the National Bank of Angola, the Nova Cimangola and the BCI in Benguela.
