2nd half of the 20th century, signed "Kruk", bronze brown patinated, abstract depiction in slightly moving surface design, an older boy, sitting on a pedestal and reading a book, beside him a girl, also with book in hand, looking over his shoulder, well preserved according to age, h 41 cm. Artist's info: Gregor or Georg Kruk, Ukrainian sculptor (1911 Bratysziw/Ukraine to 1988 Munich), attended the School of Arts and Crafts in Lviv, studied at the Academy of Arts in Krakow under Constantin Laszezka, graduated summa cum laude and subsequently received a scholarship to the Berlin Academy under Alfred Vocke, also under Otto Hitzberger, Franz Blatscheck, Arno Becker and August Kranz, from 1937 resident in Germany and from 1945 in Munich and lecturer in United Nations Relief and Rehabilitations Administration at the University of Munich, exhibitions nationwide and, for example, in Toronto, Philadelphia, London, Paris, Rome, etc., the largest permanent exhibition can be found in Königsberg, in addition to several museums.
