Luca Madrassi, bust of a girl circa 1900, signed with place name Paris, unmarked, terracotta, bust of a young woman with indicated blouse and fur collar, her curly hair covered by a pointed hat with flower and feather trimming, on a profiled blackened wooden base, this cracked due to drying and the underside of the hat brims chipped on the back, otherwise good, expertly restored condition, h 42.5 cm. circa 1900, signed with place name Paris, unmarked, terracotta, bust of a young woman with indicated blouse and fur collar, her curly hair covered by a pointed hat with flower and feather trimming, on a profiled blackened wooden base, this cracked due to drying and the underside of the hat brims chipped on the back, otherwise good, expertly restored condition, h 42.5 cm. Artist info: French sculptor with Italian roots (1848 Tricesimo - 1919 Paris), studied art in Rome, then in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts under Pierre-Jules Cavelier, joined the studio Albert Ernest Carrier-Belleuse and later the studio Gustave Doré, from 1890 French citizenship, exhibited at the Salon of the Société des artistes français.
