After Jean Antoine Houdon, bust of a child
Around 1895, terracotta matted, signed, depicting the son of the famous architect Alexandre-Théodore Brongniart, Alexandre Brongniart (1770-1847), future mineralogist and director of the porcelain manufactory of Sèvres, mounted on a round marble base, h 43 cm. Info: the original Houdons in terracotta and marble are in the Louvre under inventory numbers RF1197 and RF1280.
