Late 19th c., signed, stamp Fontaine & Derieux Paris, inscription "Fabrication francaise", model number 192, children sitting on the bench, the boy asleep, at their feet a basket, this electrified with light bulb, on the front screwed metal plaque with inscription "Il dort si bien" (He sleeps so well) and artist's name, function not tested, colouring partially gone over, h 38 cm. Artist info: Joseph le Guluche (1849 Plourvino to 1915 Vellejuif), French sculptor, active for the manufactories Villenauxe-la-Grande (Aube), L'Isle-Adam (Val-d'Oise) as well as Mauger and Letut.
