Helmuth Schievelkamp, antique relief
dated 1906, signed "H. SchievelKamp", silver-plated galvano relief, classical scene in half relief with putti and staffage of persons in front of a landscape, slight signs of age and minor rubbing, framed in dark, inside gold-bronzed moulding, dimensions of image section 18.2 x 51.7 cm, external dimensions 29 x 62.5 cm. Artist's info: German sculptor (1849 Berlin to 1940 ibid.), 1867-1869 studied at the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin under Karl Heinrich Möller, worked as a freelancer for the Gladenbeck sculpture foundry, created three large-scale monuments and numerous smaller sculptures and reliefs.
