c. 1900, 1st third 20th c., signed "Schmidt-Felling.", foundry stamp "BWN Echte Bronce", bronze brown patinated, athletic male nude with loincloth, cocking his bow to shoot and aiming at the sky, on a small tapering plinth, mounted on a downward widening two-part base of garnet serpentine, slight signs of age, minimally rubbed, h bronze 28,5, h overall 39 cm. Artist info: Berlin sculptor (1835 Berlin to 1920), versatile sculptor, about whose life little is known, created versatile sculptures of diverse themes ranging from hero fighters on horseback to athletes, blacksmiths and farmers to children in Dutch colonial style, sculptures were executed by the foundries Gladenbeck as well as Robert Kionsek Berlin.
