After Michelangelo, Moses
Late 19th century, foundry stamp on the side "F. Barbedienne.Fondeur", verso with round stamp "Reduction Mecanique A. Collas Brevete", bronze light patinated, high quality execution of Moses after Michelangelo, the marble original from the time of the High Renaissance can be found on the famous Julius Tomb in the church of San Pietro Vincoli in Rome, Moses seated with tablets of the law, on small angular plinth, on black marble base with bevelled edges, well preserved according to age, h bronze approx. 25 cm, h total approx. 31 cm.
