Coin cup Gotha
dated 1881, engraved on the bottom: "H. v. Cossel fec.", wall with crowned heraldic cartouche and inscription: "Ehrenpreis des Rennvereins Gotha 1881.", silver gilt, cup richly decorated with pressed and engraved reliefs and appliqués with inserted coins, on the obverse in oak leaf wreath "Ein Vereinsthaler, XXX ein Pfund Fein 1870, Ernst Herzog von Sachsen, Coburg und Gotha", obverse head to the left without circumscription, in the base the same Vereinsthaler, obverse head to the left with circumscription, normal signs of age, tiny dents and traces of oxidation, gilding partly more rubbed, h 10.9 cm, g approx. 210 g.
