Wine cask with dwarfs
circa 1900, unmarked, embossed model number 506, grey stoneware salt-glazed, painted in cobalt blue and violet, inscribed "Ananas Rheinwein" and "Mosel Himbeeren", decorated with intertwined bands, mascarons and fruit tendrils, sitting drinking dwarfs, saying: "Man first learns to drink, then much later to eat, therefore you should be grateful even as an old man, never forget to drink", with rubber stopper and wooden tap, an insignificant small burn crack on the lid, in need of cleaning, h 43 cm.
