Thuringian faience roller jug
dated 1760, slightly reddish faience body hand-turned, white glazed and painted with multicoloured sharp fire colours, on the front a Chinese, on the sides blossoms and palms, pewter mount consisting of stand ring, lip rim and overlapping ribbed lid with large ball and a band running over the handle, engraved owner's monogram "R.W.", inside uninterpreted hallmarks, mounting repaired or replaced, otherwise good condition, h 24 cm.
