Baroque faience tureen
probably Nuremberg or Ansbach, mid 18th c., unmarked, light grey body, glazed in paste blue and finely painted in cobalt blue, richly decorated with blossoms and ornamental bands, vases and other ornaments, twisted ribbed handles, the lid with pierced ventilation holes and hat-like knob, hair-, glaze- and fire-cracked, chips on the edges and partly repaired glaze flakes, h 26 cm.
