Meissen "Hofnarr Fröhlich"
Designed by Peter Strang in 1984, underglaze blue sword mark after 1947, one underline, brush addition hand-painted as well as indistinct monogram and date 2003, naturalistic design with polychrome underglaze and overglaze painting, man in costume standing on an oval base, with an owl on his shoulder and a monkey between his legs, caricatured depiction of the court jester Joseph Fröhlich (1694-1757) employed at the court of Augustus the Strong, good condition, h 11,5 cm.
