Malabar and Malabarin
Designed by Friedrich Elias Meyer in 1751 for Meissen, made by the porcelain manufacturer Edmé Samson Paris, once with an underglaze blue Meissen imitation mark, 2nd half of the 19th century, naturalistic form with polychrome underglaze and onglaze painting and gold staffage, each on rocaille base standing woman with partly bare upper part of the body and singing man, both in Indian costume and playing music, rare figures, good condition due to age with minimally rubbed gilding, underside of base of man with old paint residues, h 17,4 and 18 cm.
