Meissen Snowball Playing Children
"Boy, Throwing Snowballs" and "Girl, Defending Snowballs", designed by Alfred König 1905-1910, underglaze blue pommel sword marks 1860-1924, 1st choice, incised model number W131/W132, embosser number 125/133 and brush number 67/17.The figures are naturalistic in form with pastel under- and onglaze painting, each standing on a round base, the boy holding some snowballs in the crook of his arm and one in his right hand for throwing, the girl with bent defensive posture, one of the girl's hands professionally restored, otherwise good condition, h 14 and 11 cm.
