Certificate of promotion by Frederick William I.
dated 1735, certificate of appointment of two ensigns to "Sous Lieutenant [Sub-Lieutenant]" by Frederick William I, King in Prussia, Margrave and Elector of Brandenburg (1688 Cölln to 1740 Potsdam), the legendary "Soldier King" and father of Frederick the Great, with royal signature given on 7. July 1735 in Berlin, Heinrich Carl von der Marwitz (1680 Sellin to 1744 Breslau) was a member of the Prussian Tobacco College of the Soldier King from 1720, chief of the Old Prussian Infantry Regiment "von Dönhoff" from 1724 and appointed Knight of the "Order of the Black Eagle" in Halberstadt in 1739, condition in good age, on handmade paper, dimensions 21 x 33 cm.
