Russia, end of the 19th century, Tempera on panel, inscribed in Church Slavonic, central depiction of Christ Pantocrator as a frontal half-length portrait with orb and right hand raised in a gesture of blessing, finely engraved oklad of chased metal, with separately made nimbus set in an architecturally designed fluted frame with pointed arch, in its upper third additional relief depiction of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, set in a glazed walnut case, good condition with slight signs of age, dimensions 41 x 31 cm.
