Russia, late 19th c., inscribed in ecclesiastical Slavonic, tempera on a double-blocked hardwood panel, with two sponki on the back, depicting Mary in the type of the hodegetria, the Christ child as a standing full figure in the gesture of blessing on her left, elaborate gilded metal ochre in relief with indicated kovcheg as well as a separately made nimbus, showing a crown set with coloured stones, carried by two angels, rubbed, traces of age, dimensions 33 x 29 cm.
