Baroque leather relief
18th c., brown tanned smooth leather, elaborately embossed, partly coloured, Easter Sunday scene with depiction of the risen Jesus Christ, surrounded by a gloriole, his right hand pointing to heaven, cherubs hovering around him, at his feet the grave guards recoil in disbelief and horror before the risen Christ, in a broad later frame lined with blackened flame borders, mounted, losses of substance, in need of restoration, dimensions 53 x 36 cm.
