fine miniature after the famous painting "The Village Bride" from 1761 by Jean Baptiste Greuze (1725 Tournus/Saône-et-Loire to 1805 Paris), gouache on bone, c. 1900, signed lower right "Barthe", old collection label on the reverse "Collection Marie and George Allan", framed behind arched glass and narrow copper mount, mount aperture approx. 5 x 8 cm.
