Nikola Mikhailov (1876-1960), Prof. Nikola Mikhailov, studied at the Academy in Munich, professor in Sofia, court painter to the Bulgarian Tsar Ferdinand, resident in Berlin since 1910. In the 20s and 30s he develops into a famous portraitist and paints, among others, the Bulgarian Tsar's family, King Ferdinand, Tsar Boris III, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Stresemann, Hindenburg, Mussolini, Hitler, Franz and Martha von Papen, Hermine Princess of Prussia, Josef and Magda Goebbels, Prince Carl of Sweden, etc..
