Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), painter and graphic artist from Dresden, studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Werner Tübke was one of his students. Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), Maler und Grafiker aus Dresden, studierte ebendort und in Leipzig, wo er Meisterschüler von Willi Geiger wurde. Unter den Nazis wurde er mit Ausstellungsverbot belegt. 1947 erfolgte seine Ernennung zum Professor. Zu seinen Schülern zählte u.a. Werner Tübke.
