Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar with Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin with Arthur Kampf. He had friendships with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma, 3 study sheets with male movement nudes, both sides, 1940s/50s, watercolour/sepia and charcoal on paper and once on cardboard, each with estate stamp, WV Hadré 1275, 1530, 1597, 41 x 27.5, 40 x 30 cm, and 61 x 45 cm, loose
Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), in Bremen tätiger Künstler, studierte an den Kunstakademien in Düsseldorf, München und Weimar bei Ludwig von Hofmann und in Berlin bei Arthur Kampf. Er hegte Freundschaften mit Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt und Hans Thoma, 3 Studienblätter mit männlichen Bewegungsakte, beidseitig, 1940er/50er Jahre, Aquarell/Sepia und Kohle auf Papier und einmal auf Karton, jew. mit Nachlassstempel, WV Hadré 1275, 1530, 1597, 41 x 27,5, 40 x 30 cm, und 61 x 45 cm, liegen lose
