Herbst, GaschWalther Gasch (1886-1962), German painter, graphic artist and Nazi Party leader from Leipzig, studied at the Dresden Academy under Hegenbarth and Richard Müller, whose master student he was. From 1934 deputy director of the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. Autumn in the Stone Forest'', view of a wooded area with grazing cows in front, oil on plywood, monogrammed and dated 1953 lower right, inscribed on verso, 56 x 80 cm, framed 66 x 88 cm.
