Buddha Amitabha, China, probably Dehua, c. 1900 or earlier, ivory-coloured Dehua porcelain (Blanc de Chine), the ''Buddha of immeasurable light'' Emituofo enthroned majestically on a lotus pedestal in the lotus seat(padmasana), the left hand in the gesture of wishing(varadamudra), the right hand holding a lotus in which the faithful will be reborn in the paradise of Amitabha(sukhavati), face drawn through all features(lakshana) with Urna forehead mark, Ushnisha head curvature and twisted locks, mild smile and convincing wrinkles, on the back two marks, 18x10x8cm
