Two Imari plates in chrysanthemum flower form(rinka), Japan, Arita, 1st half 18th cent, both porcelain with dark cobalt blue and iron red painting, gold paint, green, violet and orange; one in the centre with chrysanthemum bouquet in vase, at the rim galloping horses in a sea of cherry blossoms behind cobalt blue tree, outer wall 4 scroll bundles, 1 chip at the rim; the other in the centre with a bouquet of chrysanthemums in a vase above a pair of birds, the rim probably depicting Ri Tekkai(Li Tieguai) between cherry blossoms and the sea holding a large gourd releasing the character shu for long life, plate clamped and glued; both D. 31 cm
