Meissen, sword mark, 1st choice, model Peter Reinicke 1753-54, model no. 60231 (old: 12), from the series Cris de Paris/Pariser Rufer, young shell seller carrying a covered tray on her head, rocaille base, colorfully painted, gold equipped, nice condition, height approx. 15.5 cm, after 1973; The series of Parisian market traders and small tradespeople, begun by JJ Kaendler around 1737 and continued by Peter Reinicke in 1753/54, depicts small trades in the mid-18th century in a lively, albeit partly embellished form and thus provides an insight into cultural history of street life at that time.
