A SILVER AND NIELLO BENEDICTION CROSS Russian, Moscow, Semen Dementiev, 1860 The terminals of quatrefoil shape, representing the Crucifix flanked by the figures of the Mother of God and John the Evangelist, Lord Sabaoth at the top, the skull of Adam at the bottom. Marked with city hallmark, assayer’s mark, 84 standard and master’s mark ‘SD’ in Cyrillic. Minor dents, gilding worn. 26.2 cm long, 245 gr.
