AN ICON SHOWING THE FEODOROVSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH SILVER-GILT BASMA Russian, 18th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, Grigory Andreev Plotov, 1777 (basma) Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Covered by a silver-gilt basma chased and embossed with scrolling foliage. Marked with city hallmark, assayer’s mark, alderman’s mark and master’s mark ‘GP’ in Cyrillic. Minimally restored. 31 x 26.8 cm.
