A MONUMENTAL ICON SHOWING THE ENTHRONED MOTHER OF GOD PANTANASSA FROM A CHURCH ICONOSTASIS Greek, 18th century Tempera on wood panel. The Mother of God seated on a carved, wooden throne, supporting Christ, the latter blessing, the upper corners occupied by two angels. Painted with saturated colours, predominantly reds and blues, against a light green background. Tith a raised borded. Minor losses. 100.5 x 73.5 cm. Provenance: Galerie Koller AG, Zurich, 1989.
