A LARGE SIGNED AND DATED ICON SHOWING THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST Russian, Palekh, V. Khokhlov, dated 1901 Tempera and oil on wood panel. Finely executed in great detail. The angels with pastel coloured garments. The border emulating a gold frame decorated with intertwinded foliage, the edges garnished with pearl decoration. Minimally restored. Cyrillic inscription, dated ‘1901’ lower right. 44 x 37 cm.
