Beautiful Early Etruscan olla made of reddish to dark brown impasto.
Beautiful Early Etruscan olla made of reddish to dark brown impasto with nice wheel made grooves on the lip, on the shoulder a plastic ring and a frieze of stamped decor in form of oval cartouches with a filling of palmettes and peltae. 7th century BC. Height 24cm, ø corpus 25,5cm. Reassembled from fragments, few tiny chippings at the cracks, otherwise complete. From the collection of the German archaeologist Friedrich Wilhelm Hamdorf (1936-2022).
