Apulian chous of the Dotted-Spray Group, Gnathia Ware. About 320 BC. Height 15,7cm, ø corpus 9,7cm. Black glazed ware with painting in white and yellow. At the end of the handle the colored plastically moulded head of a boy (Eros). And on the shoulder painted a dove surrounded by fanciful tendrils and flowers below of a vine bower. At the foot parts with red slip. With certificate of the Galerie Günter Puhze, Freiburg i.Br.! Tiny chippings of the black glaze at handle and mouth, otherwise intact.
