Campanian red-figure bell krater of the CA Painter. Cumae, 350 - 340 BC. Height 33,6cm, ø mouth 31,2cm. On on side a symposion. In the center a hetaira playing the double aulos. To her left a kneeling symposiast who listens to the music. The right man playing kottabos and tries via the dregs in his drinking cup to blow off the flame of a lamp standing on a high stand. On the other side two draped youths. Plenty use of white and yellow for the details. Charming image of Greek symposion! With certificate of the Galerie Günter Puhze, Freiburg i.Br.! Foot and few large rim fragments are broken and reattached, small missing parts are retouched.
