1900 Frankfurt / Oder – 1973 Weimar, nach einer Lithographenlehre in Frankfurt in den Jahren 1914–1918 besuchte S. seit 1921 die Kunstschule Weimar bei A. Brendel und A. Olbricht, wo er 1927 als Meisterschüler abschloß, S. lebte lange in Weimar und war Mitglied der Lucas Cranach Genossenschaft bildender Künstler der DD,"Sonnenstrahl im Wald", Öl/Malkarton, impressionistische Malweise, breiter, pastoser Pinselduktus, sonnendurchflutetes Wiesenstück in einem Wald, re. un. sign., rücks.
