Pascal verbrachte seine Jugend in Nordafrika und begann in den 1880er Jahren in Paris seine Karriere als Landschaftsmaler, spezialisiert auf Orientansichten und -szenen, die er größtenteils in Gouache malte und die sich an Delacroix oder Fromentin anlehnen. 1893 wanderte er in die USA aus.
